Overall the design is a little uninspired and a little disappointing. Anyway the majority of the Eastern world is based in the city so this would be identified with most players. Shinobi for PS2 follows the adventures of Hotsuma, who is the leader of the Oboro ninja clan. This action genre game is packed with stunning graphics, anime-style videos, and awesome slash action gameplay. This may grow tired after a short duration. In Shinobi for PlayStation 2, you control Hotsuma as he slashes at enemies in search of answers about the mysterious sword he possesses. As it was fully shown in a flashback, Hotsuma and Moritsune had to face each other in a duel to claim the Akujiki sword and become the new leader of the Obor. The best part of the animations being the martial art moves and the scarf trailing behind Hotsuma. The bosses range from the interesting to the average standard. Those familiar to the megadrive version such as myself will be pleased to know that the graphics have definitely seen a change in the transition from 16 to 128 bit heh heh. Shinobi will have the player taking control of Hotsuma the sword slinging, Essendon scarf wearing ninja, extraordinaire. These are the kinds of games meant for the PS2.
